Boulevard Apartments Preservation is the rehabilitation of three historical affordable apartment buildings in Logan Square and Humboldt Park. All together the buildings, owned by Bickerdike, provide 70 affordable units at 1930-38 N. Humboldt Blvd., 929-35 N. Sacramento Blvd., and 2212-14 N. Sacramento Ave.

While not geographically close, these buildings are tied together by their history and mission of providing affordable housing along Humboldt/Sacramento Boulevard, long before the neighborhood began to gentrify. They were originally acquired and rehabbed as part of an effort to help stabilize a disinvested community and to provide quality, affordable housing for families in need.

All apartments have been renovated with modern kitchens, energy-saving appliances, bathrooms, and flooring. In addition to the apartment renovations, the rehab included masonry restoration and an overhaul of the common areas. The project received both historic tax credits and ComEd grants for sustainability.
