SACRED South Chicago

Affordable + Mixed-Income Supportive Housing

IN PROGRESS

The SACRED project is a newly constructed five-story, 81-unit supportive housing development representing the largest housing investment in the neighborhood in two decades. SACRED Apartments — short for Sustainable Affordable Commercial Real Estate Development — offers a mix of unit types ranging from studios to four-bedroom units to support the diverse needs of the neighborhood. The L-shaped building defines the corner and engages the street while providing a safe, protected landscaped garden, resident patio, and playground at the rear.

On-site parking includes a 44-car surface lot at the south end of the site, with a landscaped buffer along Burley Avenue. Five accessible parking spaces are located behind the building near the rear entry. A drop-off area is situated at the residential building entry on the east side of the building along Burley Avenue.

SACRED represents the kind of bold, community-led investment that will help make Chicago the safest and most affordable big city in America.
