Roosevelt Square Taylor and Racine

Mixed-use, Mixed-income Development

As a part of the multi-phase Roosevelt Square development, this new mixed-use and mixed-income project will activate an important corridor situated between the University of Illinois at Chicago campuses.  Roosevelt Square Taylor Racine consists of 70% market rate and 30% Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) subsidized units which will include a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom units


The development consists of 50 market-rate units and 17 Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) subsidized units. The ground floor will include 10,000 square feet of retail space that will be leased as a grocery store. Apartment building features will include an indoor common space, a rooftop deck, and 33 parking spaces.


Two additional mixed-income buildings are a part of this phase along with another LBBA project, the conversion of the last remaining Jane Addams building into the National Public Housing Museum.
