Trisha Girdwood, AIA, is a Principal at LBBA. Since joining LBBA in 2002, she has designed over 1000 subsidized, affordable, senior, and market-rate housing developments. Trisha’s ongoing research in construction detailing and sustainable building techniques has contributed significantly to the firm’s growing repertoire of best practices that seek to optimize improvements in energy efficiency and construction costs. Trish is a member of the AIA Department of Buildings Working Group and the AIA Accessibility Committee that partners with Chicago’s Department of Buildings and Chicago’s Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities in the review of ongoing code, permitting, zoning, accessibility, and energy issues. Trish has also participated in the City of Chicago’s Development Process Improvement Focus Group – a group organized to help streamline the City’s affordable housing and commercial development process.
