Add a Title

Charlotte received her Bachelor of Design in Architecture at the University of Minnesota Twin-Cities, and her Masters of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She recently received her architecture license in December 2024.

A studio project she helped design during her Masters was given second place in the AIA Chicago Student Award in Architecture (2022), second place in the Spectacular Design Innovation Awards (2022), and was featured at the Venice Biennale. This project explored the relationships of learning and play through the design of a climbable library, specifically at the scale of a child. This work has inspired her to find ways architecture can be used to bring joy to a world that desperately needs more of it.

Her past work as an editor for a post-colonial architecture poetry book have also led her towards an interest in design work with a decolonization and climate justice lens. She aims to use her knowledge and experience as a tool to help reconstruct current systems.

Professionally, Charlotte brings her experience working in affordable housing and community-based projects to LBBA in hopes to continue working on equitable, beautiful design for all.
