2019 Illinois Governor’s Conference on Affordable Housing

LBBA Principal, Jeff Bone, attended the 2019 Illinois Governor’s Conference on Affordable Housing on Wednesday, co-hosted by the Illinois Housing Council (IHC) and Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA). Jeff joined fellow panelist Charlene Andreas (Director of Affordable Housing, LUCHA), Lindsey Elton (President and Director of Rating Services, Eco Achievers), Tim Swanson (Chief Design Officer, Skender), and Spencer Skinner (Assistant Director—Closing & Construction Services, IHDA) to discuss innovative trends in design, sustainability and construction. The lively conversation provided the audience with examples of the latest sustainable design and construction methods and insightful strategies on how to produce quality housing while also balancing costs.
